What Is Curtain Wall / Perimeter Firestop?
Curtain wall firestop, also known as perimeter curtain wall fire protection service, is the passive fire protection for curtain wall gaps. It involves sealing the void between the edge of the floor slab and the façade or glass curtain wall to prevent vertical fire and smoke spread. Without proper edge of slab fire barrier installation, fire can easily bypass floor compartmentation.
